Silverado Hospice is looking for volunteers.Patient's are terminally ill and in their final stages of life. As a Hospice Volunteer you will be visiting patients in their own homes, in hospitals or other nursing facilities. You'll be assigned to a patient as close to your home as possible. They need volunteers who are willing to read the paper or a book to the patient, share hobbies, play & listen to soothing music, talk and share stories or just listen to their life stories, bring flowers from a garden, share photos, or just sit quietly and be the gift of presence for them.

Volunteers who are willing and encouraged to share their musical talent with hospitalized patients. The goal is to create a calming atmosphere for the patients and their families through music. After volunteer admission, you are able to bring your own wind or string instrument to patient rooms and nursing floor.
