Screen
Writer
Duties and
responsibilities: Screenwriters
work with directors and producers to write scripts for films or TV shows. They
need to be able to work in a team and under pressure. They often begin their
career as copywriters or writers for production companies.
Salary: $106,160 annually
(for writers in motion picture and video industries.
Education: No
education required specifically but writers often have a bachelor’s or
certificates in screen writing.
Reflection: I think I would
like to become a screen writer because you get to explore all different ideas
and angles in a TV show that you have written yourself with help from the team,
plus, who knows, it may even be the next great show or film people love. I love
how you get to write in practically what you imagine and make it come to life
when filming.
