Allergist/immunologist
Duties and responsibilities: documents patients medical histories, conducts laboratory
or clinical research on allergy or immunology topics. They also provide allergy
or immunology consultation or education. They can prescribe medicine such as antihistamines,
antibiotics, nasal or oral or topical glucococorticosteroids.
Salary: $200,000-
$320,000
Education: 4 years of undergraduate experience, minimum of 3 years at medical
school, 2 years of allergy and immunology training.
Reflection: I do not think I would like to become one because I am not interested in
working with allergy and different medications for it, I would rather work
further into the medical field with more technicalities.
